Planners We Love
Donielle Warren’s love affair with wedding planning began back in 2004 with an internship for Elegant Events, a Philadelphia-based design and event planning company renowned for events “created out of love for helping others.” There she thrived under the tutelage of founder Sheila Corbett, who launched the company in 1997 to meet the increasing demand for professional wedding planners in the greater Philadelphia area.
CNN’s Rahel Solomon Marries Lawyer Marcel S. Pratt
The CNN anchor and the lawyer had a two-day wedding celebration that honored the couple’s cultures from Solomon’s Ethiopian roots to Pratt’s membership in the historically Black fraternity Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The traditional American celebration took place at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and saw 200 guests in attendance, followed by a second day Ethiopian reception called a “Melse” with 500 in attendance.
Fusion Indian Traditions Made This Wedding Pure Magic
Ask the couple to describe their celebration, and they call it the “best day of our lives.” We can’t help but agree. Their wedding fused country-chic details with Indian traditions in honor of their love story. And when Danielle first caught sight of Nicole in her attire, it was a beautiful and hilarious moment — unique to this couple. The decor featured rustic and natural elements, including favors, along with paper-box crafts homemade by Nicole’s mom.
